The heart behind Bark Woof Happy LLC.

Hi, I’m Cindy.

I’m here to help you and your dog strengthen your connection through calm, trust, and mutual understanding rather than commands or corrections.

My approach focuses on your dog’s emotional wellbeing and autonomy to foster a relationship where cooperation happens naturally without pressure.

Discover Calm Together

Building Trust Through Healing and Choice

Healing Relationships, Not Fixing Dogs

Bark Woof Happy isn’t about fixing dogs. It’s about healing relationships. That means no punishments, no obedience drills, and no treating your dog like a project. Instead, we work together to build a rhythm that honors your dog’s agency and your real life. This is for people who want to understand their dog, not control them.

A Journey Beyond Traditional Training

Like many dog guardians, I started out thinking I needed to “train” my dog to behave. But along the way, I saw how much damage traditional training methods, especially balanced and obedience-based techniques, can do to a dog’s spirit. I began studying trauma-informed, decolonial, and relationship-centered approaches, and everything changed. My dog began to bloom. Our connection deepened. And I knew this was the path I wanted to walk, with dogs and their people.

A Gentle, Choice-Based Approach

I work with families who are done with micromanaging and just want a dog who can feel safe, expressive, and at home in their world. Whether you’re raising a puppy, helping a rescue decompress, or looking to rebuild trust after trauma, we’ll move at your dog’s pace, with gentleness and clarity. Together, we’ll create a plan rooted in choice, not correction. You’ll learn to speak your dog’s language, not just get them to listen to yours.

Our Philosophy

Our Training Methods

Our Training Methods

At Bark Woof Happy, our philosophy centers on respect, trust, and emotional safety for every dog. We believe dogs are smart and capable when given the space to think and make their own choices. Trying is winning in our approach; every effort your dog makes is celebrated as progress.

Rather than seeing dogs as projects to be fixed, we honor them as sentient beings deserving of autonomy and compassion. Our method moves away from punishment and obedience based training toward building genuine relationships rooted in understanding.

Our Training Methods

Our training methods focus on real-life reinforcers and a deep understanding of your dog, rather than relying on treats to encourage calm, well-mannered behavior. We consider your dog’s breed, instincts, and natural drives to design enrichment games that shift behavior through play and engagement. Instead of managing symptoms like barking, pulling, jumping, or chasing, we look at the root cause to create lasting, meaningful change.

When it comes to teaching dogs how to respond when asked (focused heel, position changes, fitness routines, sport foundations, or fun tricks with real-life value) we use reward-based methods by starting with treats and quickly shift to play and real-life rewards.

Our Credentials

With nearly a decade of experience as a certified dog groomer, Cindy’s love for animals led her to explore holistic coat and skin care as a dog groomer. Her passion for animal well-being then extended into dog training, where she noticed a gap between grooming and reward-based techniques.

This inspired Cindy to become an assistant at Sirius Dog Training, deepening her expertise in canine behavior. Cindy also holds certifications in veterinary assistance and Zoom Room University, as well as a certification from Karen Pryor Academy. This combination of veterinary, grooming, and training experience allows Cindy to approach pet care with a holistic and compassionate mindset.
